As a national professional rank association of nurses, midwifes and health technicians, which will soon have a 90th anniversary, we are sure that the project, which directly or indirectly joins a great number of our colleagues, is a useful project which systematically and continually reaches the target population. SVIT raises awareness, prevents, educates, discovers and saves lives. Healthcare providers, with knowledge, integration in the healthcare system, offering professional care to healthy and ill individuals and groups, are the ones who are with patients 24 hours – beside their hospital beds, in outpatient clinics in their homes all year long. Through constant professional care, we are with the people on all three levels of healthcare; our contribution on a primary level (community nursing, family medicine clinics, health educational centres, referral clinics, etc.) is priceless, the same is on secondary and tertiary level (specialist clinics, hospital departments, endoscopic units, surgery rooms, enterostomal therapy, etc.). It is our right and our duty to support projects like Svit and we are happy to do this with all our responsibilities in the future.
